Councils
The following is a list of Reeves & Council members from some of the early council meetings.
Prior to Webbwood becoming a town, these were the people responsible for the decision making.
At a council meeting dated Webbwood May 23rd 1896, it is noted that "Moved by Mr. McQuire, second by Jas. Perry that the following resolution be sent to the Hon. the Minister of Public works through our member the Hon. C.F. Farwell M.P.P.
"Whereas-a bridge across the Spanish River at this point is an absolute necessity for the
development of a large tract of good agricultural land, to the south of Webbwood..." This
resolution asks that an engineer be sent to locate a site for the bridge.
