The Archives of Ontario has the indexes and registration books from the Office of the Registrar General for:
Births 1869-1911
Marriages 1801-1926
Deaths 1869-1936
Sometime this year, they will add another year. In addition, the Archives holds registrations dating from the early part of the nineteenth century in form of District and County Registers.
All of the records are publicly available on microfilm. Every year, another set of records is sent to the Archives which means that sometime in 2009 Births for 1912, Marriages for 1927 and Deaths for 1937 will be available.
Microfilmed copies can be viewed in the Archives of Ontario's Main Reading Room, borrowed through your local library or borrowed from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or purchase a reel from the Ontario Genealogical Society.
When researching, it is important to note that some B M D's are listed under Hallam as well as Webbwood. Also, some are listed under the following districts: Algoma, Nipissing and Sudbury.
